“Movies in the Park” start next Wednesday

The public is invited to gather on a field to watch outdoor movies this summer, starting with the Lion King.

Southborough Recreation is putting on free movie nights this summer. Unlike last summer, the free events will take place on a grass field, with no limitation to the number of attendees.

(I’m told the screens will be a little smaller than the ones used for last summer’s Drive-In series.)

The movies are scheduled to be screened at dusk on Wednesdays every 2/3 weeks starting July 7th.

Attendees are invited to bring their chairs or blankets to Depietri Field (by the Neary School parking lot, 53 Parkerville Rd).

Here’s the lineup:

  • July 7 – The Lion King (live action version from 2019)
  • July 14 – The Sandlot
  • August 4 – Onward
  • August 18 – Raya & the Last Dragon

The series is sponsored by the Southborough Community Fund and Friends of Southborough Recreation.

These were so much fun last year. If you did not attend last year don’t miss this year!
