“Last year, [Glen Road resident Mohan] Nannapaneni’s Friends Foundation provided 200 backpacks to students at Chandler Elementary School in Worcester, where more than 90 percent of students qualify for reduced-price or free meals. Most of this year’s 800 backpacks will go to two other Worcester schools: Woodland Academy and the Nativity School, a Jesuit middle school for inner-city boys sponsored by the College of the Holy Cross. About 200 will go to students at a school in Mattapan.” Full story
