The Community Advocate writes about special programs at Woodward, including CARE, a program focused on caring, acceptance, and respect for others, and “One School, One Read” which apparently is a school-wide book club. The best part? The programs come with assemblies. Woohoo!
The first CARE assembly centered around acceptance. Students and faculty wore Hawaiian shirts as part of the theme. I’m not exactly sure what Hawaiian shirts have to do with acceptance, but I’m sure the kids looked cute.
