Northborough and Southborough are the recipients of $1.5 million in state reimbursements from the Algonquin project. Score! The problem is how to divide the windfall between the towns, a battle that has been going on for more than a year.
At last night’s regional school committee meeting, the committee proposed a reconciliation. According to their plan, the money will be split based on a combination of student enrollment (Southborough’s preference) and socioeconomic factors (Northborough’s preference).
