Superintendent Charles Gobron sent an update to Algonquin parents this evening via the automated telephone system. Here’s what we’ve learned about the evacuation earlier today.
Northborough police and fire investigators searched the building and found no “devices.” Southborough, Westborough, and state police aided the search. After further investigation, Northborough police determined the threat was a hoax. They have identified a “juvenile suspect.” No word on whether the suspect is an Algonquin student.
The school was deemed safe, and classes will resume tomorrow as normal.
