Early numbers suggest the Southborough budget for 2010 could be in the red by $400,00 to $1 million. At its meeting last night, the Board of Selectmen discussed the budget for the upcoming fiscal year and said current services could be cut by 4-7%. The board asked departments to submit 2010 budgets with no new services added.
Budgets must be submitted by December 5th, so a more accurate picture of the budget situation should be available then.
