Thanks to a grant from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, Southborough has new solar lighting illuminating the flag pole in front of the Fire Station. The program provides a free solar‐powered lighting system for illuminating a monument, flagpole, or small sitting area.
The solar lighting was installed this weekend by volunteers from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 96 of Worcester. The pole had been without lighting since the conduit was damaged during repair of the Fire Station drain system.
