The Board of Selectmen last week approved the formation of a new Energy Management Committee whose charter is to help the town use energy more efficiently and reduce costs. As lots of area towns take a closer look at how they use energy, this seems like a good move.
Committee members include Town Administrator Jean Kitchen, Public Works Superintendent Karen Galligan, Facilities Manager Phil Rinehart, School Facilities Manager David White and resident Jim Colleary. Their terms expire in June 2009.
