Finn March Madness race results

Saturday was the first ever Finn March Madness 5K run/2K walk, and Finn SOS Chair Laura Eppen said the event went well.

The race went very well!  We had a very good turn out for our fist time event. Most of the Finn teachers as well as the principal, nurse, reading specialist participated in the walk. Walgreens made a huge impact at the event.  They donated all the water and handed out water bottles full of items as well as first aid kits. They also gave us $25 gift certificates to the first place male and female runners. Southborough Dental came to give free dental imprints for children. Many local area fitness and wellness places donated items for our silent auction. And we had Boston Sports Club and Westborough Tennis and Swim run mini classes for families. Kelly Baltas was there from Every Body Balance to show people different pilates and yoga moves and Therapeutics offered free messages during the event.  People seemed to have a great time!

The first man to cross the finish line was Jack Hinchy with a time of 17:56, and the first woman was Elizabeth Whitney with a time of 21:41. For complete race results, see this Excel spreadsheet or this PDF file.
