The family of Police Chief William Webber is getting ready to tee off in his honor. The Billy Webber Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, June 22 at Juniper Hill Golf Course in Northborough. All proceeds from the event will go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
On their website, the family shares why they’re holding the tournament:
We dedicate this golf tournament to his memory, to his kind heart and to the courage he has given all of us to rise above the sorrow. We honor him in a game he so loved & enjoyed playing before his battle with pancreatic cancer.
The tee time is 9:00 am. It’s a shot-gun start with best ball play, so golfers of all ability are welcomed. A box lunch will be provided, along with dinner at Juniper Hill following the tournament. There will be prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin, along with a silent auction and raffle.
The cost is $125 per person, and you need to register by June 1. There are also sponsorship opportunities available.
See the Billy Webber Memorial Golf Tournament website for more information and a registration form.
