The Metrowest Daily News today reports that a lease has been signed on a portion of the High Speed Video building at 150 Cordaville Road. The building had been considered one of the options for a new police station. Apparently the new lease doesn’t change that.
During Tuesday night’s meeting, Shea said the committee discussed its options in light of the new lease, but agreed to continue looking into the economic feasibility of purchasing the building, as directed by selectmen.
If the building is sold during the term of the lease, the owner could honor that lease or attempt a buyout, (Municipal Facilities Committee Chairman Brian Shea) said.
The lease was signed by a gymnastics company which will take up about a third of the 45,000-square-foot building. You can read all the details in the Metrowest Daily News.
