Today is the last day on the job for DPW Administrative Secretary Connie Mauro. She is retiring after 36 years with the town. The town’s fall newsletter (.pdf) had this tribute to Connie:
Connie joined the DPW in 1973 and quickly became a fixture and face of the DPW, as well as John Boland’s right hand. Her smile, her sense of humor and head full of historical information will be greatly missed. She is the matriarch of the ever loyal Mauro family and won’t be far away. So when you see her, thank her for her many years of dedicated service.
