Students at Neary and Woodward will get a visit from well-known children’s author and Westborough resident Andrew Clements tomorrow. It’s the culmination of the schools’ One-School-One-Read literacy program.
For the past four weeks, second and third graders at Woodward have been making their way through Clement’s Frindle, a book about a clever boy whose attempt at creating a new word has unanticipated consequences.
Over at Neary, the kids have been reading The Jacket by Clements, a story about a boy who is wrongly accused of stealing a jacket.
Students at both schools have participated in various activities related to the book, and tomorrow’s visit by Clements will cap off the month-long program.
