Crews for National Grid were out on Flagg Road yesterday and today trimming and cutting down trees along the roadway. Back in November a public hearing was held to review the power company’s plan to remove 38 trees on Flagg Road, Deerfoot Road, Lovers Lane, and Lynnbrook Road.
Some Red Gate Lane residents appeared before the Board of Selectmen in December to ask for a stay of execution for some of the trees along Flagg Road. I don’t know the precise outcome of that meeting (anyone?), but the removal of this tree on Flagg Road at the end of Red Gate seems to indicate selectmen upheld the decision to remove at least some of the trees.
