A special night of skating under the stars on Saturday

Update 02/17: This event has been canceled due to unfavorable ice conditions.

I’m not talking about the Olympics. I’m talking about skating right here in Southborough.

On Saturday night, lights will be set up around the outdoor Community Skating Rink in Fayville for a special evening of night skating. The event is being sponsored by Southborough’s public safety agencies — the Fire and Police Departments, Emergency Management Agency and Citizen Emergency Response Team and Medical Reserve Corp (CERT/MRC) — in appreciation for the continuing support of the community.

So strap on your skates and come out for an evening of skating under the stars. The rink will be open for night skating from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Admission is free and hot chocolate will be served.

Parking is allowed at Fay Field, the lot across the street, and along the northbound side of Central Street (sidewalk side). Please do not park on side streets or private properties in the area without authorization of police.
