There’s no denying it’s been one wet week. Fire Chief John Mauro Jr. has been measuring the precipitation at the fire station and reports that since the storms began earlier this week, they’ve had over 4.5 inches of water.
The weather last night was particularly wild with, heavy rain and high winds. The result was a bevy of downed power lines and flooded basements. Here’s a summary of the emergency response calls from last night:

- 10:44 pm Flooded basement, Southville Road

- 2:54 am Power line arcing, Boston Road
- 5:39 am Fire alarm, Turnpike Road
