The Northborough-Southborough school district’s Technology Department is hosting a workshop for parents on Internet skills, including YouTube, RSS, Google search, and cloud computing. There are two sessions to choose from, one on March 23 and another on April 15. Both start at 7:00 pm and take place at Algonquin.

Using YouTube as a life-long learning tool (20 minutes) search for how to videos on topics that interest you; RSS and Google Reader (20 minutes) Subscribe to sites and receive regular updates; Collaborating in the Cloud (20 minutes) Doodle Google Documents Buzzword; Google Search Skills (20 minutes) Learn to limit your search to books or scholarly articles Learn to search within a specific site, do conversions, find definitions and more.
