For the third year in a row, Southborough Town House employees are participating in Pansies for Progress, a fundraising drive for the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance. Like last year, funds are being raised in honor of Southborough’s former police chief Bill Webber, who passed away in 2008 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Last year’s pansy sales helped raise more than $1000 to support pancreatic cancer research at UMass Medical School. If you want to help this year, place your pansy order by tomorrow at the Selectmen’s Office at the Town House or at the Senior Center. The cost is $5 for one 4-inch pot or $20 for five 4-inch pots.
Pansies will be delivered on Wednesday, April 14 to the Southborough Town House.
