If you’re one of those who thinks poetry is stuffy and boring, get yourself to the Library on Wednesday and prepare to be educated.
The Southborough Library will host a reading and performance by poet Marlon Carey at the Library, 25 Main Street, Southborough, on Wednesday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. This is an event you won’t want to miss. Marlon was named best Hip Hop Poet by the Cambridge Poetry Awards two years in a row. His poetry is a blend of eclectic themes, wordplay and wit – Carey concocts a magical brew of fun and words.
Marlon Carey, or “Infynit” as he is known, performs around New England, and is on a mission to spread the seeds of the Spoken Word Movement and continue the oral tradition of poetry and performance. This event is sponsored by the Southborough Arts Council, and the Friends of the Southborough Public Library. Seating is limited, and all ages are welcome. For more information, or to sign up for the event, please call the library at 508-485-5031.
The event is part of the Poetry Festival happening all this month at the Southborough Library.
