Flags in Southborough are flying at half staff today in honor of longtime Southborough resident Jim Denman who passed away earlier this week.
In addition to participating in a host of community activities, Mr. Denman was a fixture at the annual Memorial Day parade where he marched in his army uniform. Years ago he served on the Southborough Planning Board. And at the time of his death he was in his 29th year as Southborough’s representative on the Assabet School Committee.
Flags will continue to fly at half staff tomorrow in Mr. Denman’s honor.
Visiting hours are today from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Morris Funeral Home on Main Street. Funeral service will be tomorrow at 11:30 am at St. Mark’s Church. Burial will follow in the Rural Cemetery.
