MWDN: Southborough Jewelers is going out on top

The Metrowest Daily News has a nice profile on Southborough Jewelers, which announced recently that it was closing up shop.

Going out of business sales can be sad affairs, but in the case of Southborough Jewelers that is simply not the case, says sales employee Margie Missle.

“Sandi and Jamie are going out on a successful note,” she said Tuesday afternoon from behind one of the store’s pristine glass display cases.

Jamie Peghiny and wife Sandi Hammond opened Southborough Jewelers about 10 years ago. On June 26, the 162 Cordaville Road store will be close its doors for the last time.

“We agreed when we started this to give it 10 years,” Peghiny said. “And 10 years later we’ve decided it’s time.”

They will be sorely missed! It has been an absolute joy doing business with them over the years.
