Southborough residents in the news

A number of Southborough residents have been featured by the local media of late, and all for very good reasons. Here are some of the stories.

Southboro teen wins classical music prize (Worcester Telegram & Gazette)
Seventeen-year-old violinist Seohee Min won first prize in the Young Artist Competition 2010 in Worcester earlier this month. The St. Mark’s student beat out 23 other classical instrumentalists ranging in age from 12 to 18. (read more…)

Local residents among state’s ‘Unsung Heroines’ (Metrowest Daily News)
Southborough resident Debbie Depp-Wilson was one of 100 women honored as Unsung Heroines by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. Depp-Wilson is one of the co-sponsors of Southborough’s semi-annual troop drives. The other co-sponsor, Lisa Braccio, was honored as an Unsung Heroine in 2009. (read more…)

Golf: Danielian Shining example of courage (Worcester Telegram & Gazette)
It’s been quite a year for Southborough resident Lee Danielian. Last fall he was named the first head pro at the new Shining Rock Golf Club in Northbridge. A few months before that, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. (read more…)

Also, Carly O’Connell is highlighted in today’s Globe West, lacrosse standout in Central Mass.
