Lifelong Southborough resident Louis Bartolini passed away on Tuesday after a battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was 84.
Among other town posts, Mr. Bartolini served as a selectman for a total of nearly 20 years in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Most recently he was a member of the Conservation Commission, retiring in 2007. He was also a commander for the American Legion and VFW, and was a 50-year member of the Southborough Democratic Town Committee.

Visiting hours for Mr. Bartolini will be held today from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street. A funeral mass will be conducted on Saturday at 10:0 am at St. Matthew Church on Highland Street. Burial will follow in the Rural Cemetery.
Mr. Bartolini (Louie) was the kind of person you just don’t forget. I am one of the lucky ones whose life was touched by such a great man. To his wife and family, I extend my condolences and thank you for sharing him with all of us. Until we meet again……
