A 40-year-old pedestrian was killed overnight on I-495 near the intersection with Route 9, and state police are trying to figure out exactly what happened.
Anyone traveling on I-495 in the overnight hours who may have seen something unusual is asked to call State Police at 508-832-9124.
The pedestrian struck and killed this morning on I-495 south in Westborough was a man in his 40s, according to Tim Connolly of the Worcester District Attorney’s Office.
The man’s identity has not been released because relatives have not been informed of his death, Connolly said.
Fire Chief John Mauro Jr. said Southborough emergency crews, including an ambulance and fire truck, were among the responders. You can read more about the accident in the Metrowest Daily News.
