Ten months ago Southborough teenager Christopher Manoloules was arrested on charges he murdered his uncle Aris Manoloules in a botched robbery attempt at his home in Hyannis. Last Friday Southborough resident Treefon Manoloules — father of Christopher and brother of the victim — was also arrested on murder charges in the case.
No bail was set today for Treefon Manoloules, but a pretrial conference was scheduled for Sept. 2 at which time bail can be argued. His attorney, Louis Aloise of Worcester, said this afternoon his client was “shocked by his arrest.”
“Throughout this investigation he’s been cooperative with the D.A.’s office and he’s testified before the grand jury even though he didn’t have to,” Aloise said.
