Heritage Day, Southborough’s annual fall festival, will be held this year on Monday, October 11. Like last year, you can expect a parade and vendors and activities galore. The annual Heritage Day Road Race sponsored by Southborough Rotary will take place on October 10, and the Southborough Gardeners will again this year host a scarecrow contest.
Watch the blog for more details about Heritage Day activities coming soon.
As for where Heritage Day will be held this year, we can all breathe a sign of relief. The Metrowest Daily News reports today that St. Mark’s plans to mow the field before the festival so the town can use it.
“We will mow it for Heritage Day and then allow it to return to its natural state,” Molly Ingram, St. Mark’s communications director, wrote in an e-mail. “And we will definitely have a safe place for Santa (who greets children on the field every December via helicopter) to land come the holidays.”
So that answers that.
What? No comments? After all the hubbub on the other posts? ;-)
