Firefighter and children’s author Dayna Hilton and her fire safety dogs have been making the rounds in Southborough this week. On Monday they were at Heritage Day, on Tuesday they visited Finn and Neary, on Thursday they were at the Southborough Library. Saturday will be the culmination of their visit to town — a book release party at the Southborough Fire Station.
Firefighter Dayna, along with her dog Tango and puppy Siren, will release her latest book Sparkles Goes to Boston. The book is all about fire safety and features several members of the Southborough Fire Department.
The event is free and open to the public. Copies of Hilton’s book will be on sale and she and Southborough firefighters will be on hand to sign copies. Proceeds from the sale of books during the event go toward the Keep Kids Fire Safe Foundation and the Southborough Fire Department’s fire safety education program.
The event runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. For some background on Hilton’s connection with Southborough, see this post.
