Southboro Medical Group has partnered with Marlborough Hospital — part of the UMass Memorial system — to offer its patients a selection of specialty services even closer to home.
Earlier this month, the new UMass Memorial at Southborough opened at 28 Newton Street, just next to the main Southboro Medical Group building. The new 60,000 square foot outpatient center will house the Women’s Imaging Center, the Endoscopy Center, and the MedWorks Occupational Health practice.
According to a press release the Endoscopy Center should be open soon, and the Women’s Imaging Center will open by the end of the year.
The facility at 28 Newton Street had been sitting vacant until UMass Memorial negotiated a long-term lease for the property. The Worcester Business Journal reports they spent $1.4M to renovate the space.
As part of its opening, UMass Memorial at Southborough will hold two upcoming community education events: Oh, My Aching Back! on November 9, and Prostate Problems: What You Need to Know on November 16. Click here for more information or to register.
