Boy and Girl Scouts will out on Saturday morning hanging plastic grocery bags on mailboxes all over town. It’s part of the annual Scouting for Food drive that benefits the Southborough Food Pantry.
Participating in the drive couldn’t be easier. Just take the bag, fill it up with non-perishable items from your pantry, and then place the bag by your mailbox on Saturday, November 13, when scouts will be around to pick them up.
The Southborough Food Pantry cannot distribute expired food, so before filling up the bag, please be sure to check those expiration dates.
This year is the 22nd annual Scouting for Food drive, and it’s the biggest drive of the year for the Southborough Food Pantry. Your donation will help the pantry feed more than 125 Southborough residents — ages 3 to 83 — this winter.
Thanks for posting this Susan. I was just sending the same info around the web, and saw that you already did it.
My pleasure. It’s one of those fundraisers I look forward to every year.
Thanks Susan! The shelves have large gaps.
