NSPAC to host presentation on special education law on Tuesday

Here’s information about an upcoming presentation from the Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC):

Special Education Law: Parents’ & Students’ Rights Presentation

Date: Tuesday, November 9, 2010
Time: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Location: Algonquin Regional High School, Room: B124
79 Barlett St. Northborough MA
Use the Rotunda entrance.

Presenters: Attorney Matthew MacAvoy and Joseph A. Seckler

Mr. McAvoy and Mr. Seckler will discuss basic rights in special education law, including:
-Evaluations
-Eligibility
-Development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
-Transition planning and services
-Dispute resolution
