Festive weekend in Southborough centers on Santa

Next to the Heritage Day weekend, the first weekend in December is one of my favorites in Southborough. It’s about a visit from Santa, arts and crafts, music, and all kinds of family fun. It’s when the holidays really kick in for me.

Needless to say, there is a ton going on this weekend, with the highlight for most kids (and many adults) being the arrival of Mr. Claus himself on Saturday. Santa will arrive by helicopter on St. Mark’s field at noon, and then head over to the Community House for visits and photos with the little ones. You can find all the details in this post.

Check back throughout the week for more information on all the other events happening this weekend, but for those of you who can’t wait, here’s a schedule of all that’s going on.

Friday, December 3

  • Where’s Charley? (musical) – 7:00 pm @ Algonquin Regional High School Auditorium

Saturday, December 4

  • Troop 92’s Annual Kids Shop – 9:00 am to 2:00 pm @ Woodward Elementary School
  • Art and Gift Sale at Chestnut Hill Farm – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm @ 10 Chestnut Hill Road
  • Annual Holiday Bazaar – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm @ St. Mark’s Church
  • Annual Christmas Tree Decorating Party – 10:30 am @ Southborough Library
  • Santa Day – 12:00 to 3:00 pm @ Community House (Santa arrives at noon at St. Mark’s field)
  • Friends of the Southborough Library Open House – 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm @ Southborough Library
  • Where’s Charley? (musical) – 7:00 pm @ Algonquin Regional High School Auditorium

Did I miss anything? With so much going on it’s hard to keep track. If I did, let me know in the comments!
