Registration for this year’s Rotary Club Biggest Loser Winning Fitness Program has been extended to February 2, so if you’ve been thinking of signing up, there’s still time.
The program is held on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Algonquin Regional High School, and will run through April 6. At each meeting a local expert will talk on fitness and nutrition, and an exercise class — Zumba, weights, yoga, and more — will be offered. Tomorrow’s speaker will be Jennifer Laureti from UMass Memorial Weight Center.
The program features a team competition with prizes for the team with the highest percentage of weight loss. The individual with the highest weight loss percentage will win a free one-year membership to Westborough Tennis and Swim Club.
Last year, participants lost 1,356 pounds combined. The winning team lost 10% body weight overall, and the winning individual lost 19.2%.
You can sign up in advance using this registration form, or just show up at Algonquin for the meeting tomorrow or the one next week. You’re encouraged to sign up as a team. If you sign up as an individual you’ll be assigned to a team. The cost for the program is $60.
