Governor Deval Patrick was in Southborough last week. He met with with doctors and other health care professionals at Southboro Medical Group to discuss his administration’s plan to help control rising health care costs and improve patient care.
From a Southboro Medical press release:
During today’s meeting, the Governor heard from participants about the challenges and opportunities currently facing independent physician groups that have a history with global payments and coordinated care for their patients. Together they discussed the ways in which the Administration’s comprehensive health care payment and delivery reform legislation aims to tackle many of those challenges by getting at the root causes of skyrocketing health care costs.
