Just in time for prom season, the Algonquin chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) will deliver a dose of straight talk on Thursday evening aimed not only at students, but also at parents.
The presentation “Not My Kid: A Personal Story” will focus on the risks of drugs and alcohol, and how young people and their parents can deal with the difficult decisions teens face every day.
Guest speaker Nick Levine will share his personal story of going from a high school standout to a drug-addicted college drop out. His parents will also be there to talk about what parents face when their kid takes the wrong turn. And Northborough Police Detectives Brian Griffin and Jeff Noel will talk about current trends in Northborough and Southborough and what parents should be looking out for.
The presentation will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 7:00 pm in the Algonquin auditorium. Students who attend will get a $10 discount on prom tickets.
