Earlier this month, the Cultural Arts Committee at Finn School teamed up with parents to host a cultural day. This year, the focus was on Irish, Polish, and French Canadian cultures.
Three rooms at Finn were set up with crafts and activities. Children received passports, stamped in each room they visited, and activities included flag-making, dancing, story-telling, singing, sports, and language.
As part of the festivities, Aidan O’Shea, a member of the Worcester Hurling Club, and his son Seamus lead the kids in a game of Irish hurling. O’Shea is starting up a hurling youth league in the Boros and Worcester. For more information, you can contact him at aodhanose@yahoo.com.
