Flags in Southborough and across the state are flying at half-staff today in honor of Staff Sergeant Alan Snyder who died in Afghanistan. The Blackstone native was one of four soldiers killed in a vehicle roll-over accident in June. Snyder was 28 years old.
Why flags are at half-staff today: Thursday, July 28

I salute our soldiers for all they have done and all they are doing. My hat is off to their families as well.
I’m a vet and I think if your going to fly the flag at half mast for one fallen you should do it for all.
