If you’re the parent of a little one and you’re interested in learning what Montessori is all about, consider attending one of two upcoming open houses at Southborough’s Montessori Children’s House.
In operation for almost 30 years, Montessori Children’s House provides an enriching and loving environment for parents seeking a high-quality traditional Montessori experience for their children. MCH is unique in its commitment to a small school setting where parents and teachers connect on a daily basis.
The school will host two open houses for interested parents, one on Thursday, August 25, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and a second on Friday, August 26, 9:00 to 11:00 am. The open houses are geared toward parents, so you’ll want to leave the little ones at home.
The Montessori Children’s House, located at 64 Central Street, has a few spots left for the 2011-2012 school year. The school serves children ages 2.9 through their kindergarten year. If you’re unable to attend one of the open houses, call to schedule a tour at (508)786-5924. You can find more information about the school on their website at montessorichildrenshousesouthboro.com.
Full disclosure: Montessori Children’s House is a My Southborough sponsor.
My daughter went to that school (to the same teachers) more than twenty years ago when it was in a different location. The quiet, patient, gentle atmosphere that respects all children was wonderful to see. She gained tremendous skills: focussed work, attention to detail, starting a project and following all the way through to completion (which always includes putting everything away as it was found!) She is now absolutely thriving!
