Church bells in Southborough will ring in remembrance of 9/11

Church bells in Southborough will chime on Sunday to mark the precise moment Flight 11 flew into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, and a second time to mark the building’s collapse. Residents are encouraged to join by ringing bells from their homes. Here is the announcement from the United Parishes of Southborough:

On Sunday, September 11, 2011, the United Parishes of Southborough and St. Mark’s School will ring their bells at 8:46 am and 10:28 am to remember all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, to pray for those who still grieve, and to pray for peace. In addition, we invite residents of Southborough to join with us by ringing bells from their homes at those times. The bells will ring for 2 minutes and will be followed by a time for prayer.
