Breaking news: Southborough Summer Nights rescheduled to September 30

Director of Recreation Doreen Ferguson just announced that Southborough Summer Nights has been rescheduled to Friday, September 30. The annual end-of-summer celebration originally scheduled for August 28 was postponed due to Tropical Storm Irene.

Summer Nights takes place at Neary School and features music, games, food, family fun, and fireworks.

I think it’s great that Southborough Summer Nights has been rescheduled as this has historically been a very fun event. It is disappointing, however, that it has been decided to hold the event on Rosh Hashanah, a date during which part of the Southborough community will not be able to participate.
