On Sunday, November 13. the Southborough Historical Society will host Southborough resident and historian Donna McDaniel as she shares stories from her recently-published book, Southborough Memories.

McDaniel spent the past couple of years talking with Southborough’s oldest residents and recording their stories of life in the days of one-room schoolhouses, five cent movies, and basketball games played in the old town hall. The stories have been compiled in a book published by the Historical Society with the help of a Community Preservation Act grant.

The talk begins at 2:00 pm on Sunday, at the Southborough Historical Museum, 25 Common Street (behind Pilgrim Church). It’s free and open to the public. Copies of Southborough Memories will also be available, or you can purchase them on the Southborough Historical Society website (www.southboroughhistory.org).
