There are a couple of notable entries in the latest log from the Southborough Police Department. On Tuesday police investigated vandalism at Finn School after walls, picnic tables, and a window screen were damaged. Also on Tuesday, a Mt. Vickery Road resident reported their home was broken into at some point during the night.

- 12:29 am – Officers investigated a suspicious motor vehicle parked behind Brickyard plaza on Turnpike Road. Both occupants checked out o.k.
- 8:01 am – Officers removed two wooden pallets that were in both travel lanes of Turnpike Road.
- 12:41 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from an Autumn Hill Lane residence.
- 2:36 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
- 2:53 pm – ARRESTED: A Marlborough man was arrested on an active arrest warrant and for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License.
- 3:37 pm – A medical was reported at a Boston Road residence.
- 4:12 pm – A medical was reported at a General Henry Knox Road residence.
- 11:19 pm – Officers assisted a Turnpike Road resident with obtaining a restraining order.

- 8:16 am – A medical was reported at a Cross Street residence.
- 11:05 am – Officers investigated a report of a possible B & E at a Marlboro Road residence. The owner reported hearing her front door open and close. Officers checked the home with the owner, and found nothing to be disturbed.
- 12:26 pm – An officer conducting a routine patrol check of the Fiddleneck Road neighborhood observed an open front door to a residence. The officer secured the door for the residents.
- 1:13 pm – An officer assisted the DPW with the closing of the Transfer Station.
- 4:12 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Highland Street residence.
- 4:56 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Fairview Drive residence.
- 9:28 pm – A medical was reported at a Woodland Road residence.
- 9:48 pm – Officers responded to Turnpike Road in the area of Woodland Road for a report of a fight. Responding officers checked the area, but the parties involved had already left the scene.

- 12:11 am – DPW was called out to treat the icy roads.
- 12:21 am – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 12:33 am – ARRESTED: Officers arrested a juvenile for Operating under the Influence of Alcohol.
- 1:06 am – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 1:38 am – Officers assisted another disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.
- 3:17 am – ARRESTED: A Framingham man was arrested and charged with Operating under the Influence of Alcohol- 3rd Offense, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked License. He was also civilly cited for an expired registration sticker violation.
- 7:20 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
- 10:35 am – An Oregon Road resident reported a solicitor had just come to their home. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the individual. No solicitors had registered at the police department for the day.
- 11:34 am – Officers investigated a report of an erratic operator on Woodland Road. Responding officers checked the area and were not able to locate the vehicle.
- 2:40 pm – A medical was reported at a Newton Street business.
- 11:03 pm – Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident with possible injuries on Turnpike Road. The responding officer will be filing an accident report.
- 11:40 pm – A Vale Terrace resident called to report a suspicious motor vehicle that was parked outside their home for approximately 20 minutes. Officers responded and spoke with the driver. Information was obtained and the driver checked out o.k.
Monday, January 2, 2012
- 12:05 am – Officers responded to Reservoir Drive with the SFD for a report of a pole on fire. The fire was extinguished, and the road was closed for repairs to the pole. National Grid was contacted and responded to the scene. (more info)
- 12:48 am – A medical was reported at a Boston Road residence.
- 1:02 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Turnpike Road business.
- 4:05 am – A Pine Hill Road resident reported that someone was trying to break into their home. Officers responded and checked the exterior of the home. No signs of a break-in were observed.
- 12:30 pm – An officer on patrol observed two adults carrying two children, while walking on Turnpike Road. The officer transported the family to the T Station as a courtesy transport.
- 12:59 pm – A medical was reported at a Fitzgerald Lane residence.
- 6:57 pm – Officers investigated a report of a possible drunk driver on Turnpike Road. Responding officers were not able to locate the vehicle. The information was given out to surrounding towns.
- 4:05 pm – Southborough officers assisted Westborough police in locating an iPad that was taken from a super-market in their town. Their investigation had led them to a vehicle that was registered to a Southborough resident. SPD recovered the property from the resident, and returned it to the Westborough Police. WPD and SPD will be following up on the investigation and possible charges.
- 7:30 pm – Officers responded to Red Gate Lane for a report of solicitors in the neighborhood. The solicitors were located and their information was verified. They were then advised that they needed to register at the police department in order to operate in town.
- 7:54 pm – Officers responded to Deerfoot Road for a report of a suspicious male in the area. The male was described as wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, and was possibly carrying an object in his hands. Officers arrived on scene, but the male party had left the area.
- 8:56 pm – A medical was reported at an Orchard Road residence.
- 9:11 pm – A medical was reported at a Red Gate Lane residence.

- 3:05 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Gilmore Road residence.
- 8:52 am – A Fiddleneck Road resident reported an Identification Theft. Officers will be investigating the incident.
- 11:20 am – A medical was reported at a Sarsenstone Way residence.
- 11:44 am – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at an Edgewood Road residence.
- 12:14 pm – Officers investigated a report of vandalism at the Mary Finn School. Damaged property included walls, picnic tables, and a window screen. The incident is currently under investigation.
- 12:30 pm – A medical was reported at a Newton Street business.
- 1:09 pm – Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Turnpike Road residence.
- 1:42 pm – Miscellaneous property was found on White Bagley Road. It is now in safe-keeping at the police station.
- 2:15 pm – A resident of Mt. Vickery Road reported that their home was broken into at some point during the night. The (unknown) suspects entered through the front door, and various items were taken from the residence. The case is currently under investigation, and any information regarding this incident should be reported to Detective McCarthy at (508) 485-2121.
- 3:14 pm – A resident of Constitution Drive reported a possible phone scam. A man posing as a DEA agent had contacted the resident on multiple occasions. The investigating officer confirmed this was a scam, and the DEA Boston office was advised of the incident.
- 3:26 pm – An employee of a Turnpike Road business reported that items were taken from their locker at work. The case is currently under investigation.
- 4:37 pm – A resident of Main Street reported a suspicious white van was parked in front of the house. Responding officers located the van, and confirmed the occupants were carpenters who were working at a nearby home.
- 5:45 pm – Officers assisted a Cordaville Road resident with a custody dispute.
- 5:52 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Parkerville Road.
- 6:00 pm – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Cordaville Road.
- 6:42 pm – Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Sears Road residence.
- 11:22 pm – Two ID cards were located in the parking lot of Walgreens. They are currently at the police station for safe-keeping, after attempts to reach the listed party were unsuccessful.
