The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Wednesday evening through Thursday evening for a fast-moving storm that could bring snow and ice to Southborough.
Totals are not projected to be significant – only about two inches from the forecasts I’ve seen – but the temperature will determine whether the precipitation falls as snow or as ice. If it falls as ice, driving conditions during the morning commute could be treacherous, Emergency Operations Director Neal Aspesi said in an email to emergency personnel.
The good news? Aspesi said conditions are not such that we should see any significant power outages from the storm. Stay tuned to your favorite weather source for the latest information.
Update 9:30 pm: In this post I originally said the snow was forecast for Tuesday night. It’s not. The storm is expected to hit Wednesday night and into Thursday. Sorry for the mix up.
I think the snow is expected for late Wednesday to Thursday, not tonight.
Ack! You’re correct of course. I’ve updated the post – my apologies!
