Temperatures were below freezing yesterday, but no doubt the cold was the last thing on the mind of the hundreds who came to say goodbye to Trottier Middle School student Eric Green. The 12-year-old passed away suddenly last week after a seizure.
Friends, family, and community members filled the church, including extra seats set up in the basement to accommodate the large crowd, and then spilled out into the church parking lot. Mourners in black wool coats and parkas – some with green scarfs and ties peeking through – stood listening to an audio broadcast of the service.
