There are still a few spots left in some children’s recreation programs that start this month. Some begin as soon as Saturday. Brief descriptions are below, but check the Recreation Department website for all the details.
PK Basketball
Ages: 4-6 years
Day/time: Saturdays, 9:00 – 10:00 am
Cost: $75
Our basketball program will help increase the student’s confidence in passing, shooting, and dribbling skills so when it’s time to make that game winning shot they are ready! They will also learn the proper technique of playing defense and playing together as a team in a fun setting and should get a head start toward involvement in a children’s basketball league.
Indoor Soccer Tots Clinic
Ages: 3-6 years
Day/time: Saturdays, 10:15 – 11:15 am
Cost: $75
An introduction into one of the world’s most popular games. Basic skills will be taught through creative games to teach the FUNdamentals. Each day will consist of a simulated scrimmage.
Enchanted Forest
Ages: Grades 1-4
Day/time: Saturdays, 9:00 – 10:00 am
Cost: $55
Welcome to the world of fairies and gnomes. We will learn the different kinds of fairies and their enchanted friends, and the secret world in which they live, work, and play. We will explore their homes and make our own to take home. We will sign and dance, make costumes, wings and loads of fairy crafts. Flower fairies are kind, helpful, and are great friends. We will learn how to emulate their positive attributes in our lives.
Fairy Tales
Ages: Grades 1-4
Day/time: Saturdays, 10:15 – 11:15 am
Cost: $55
Recreate your favorite Fairy Tales, their homes, and their friends. Rewrite their stories! you will add to your personal peg collection, or begin building one of your own.
Skating Lessons at St. Marks
Ages: 5 & up
Day/time: Sundays, 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Cost: $120
This program will hold instructions for Beginners, Advanced, and Intermediate levels for kindergarten and up. Children will be instructed for the development of basic skating skills that may be used for hockey or figure skating.
