A second candidate has signaled he may challenge incumbent Bill Boland for a seat on the Board of Selectmen. Just 10 days before the deadline, Oak Hill Road resident Leo F. Bartolini Jr. pulled nomination papers yesterday for the position of selectman.
Bartolini is currently a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, the Zoning Advisory Committee, and the Drafting Committee for Town Manager Legislation. He has until March 26 to collect signatures and file the paperwork for his election bid. Assuming he does, he will face incumbent Boland who confirmed last month he was running for another 3-year term.
The Board of Selectmen race is currently the only one that is potentially contested at this point, in what has been a slow election season. For an update on who else is running, see this post.
