From the Southborough Public Library:
This month, on Thursday, March 29, the Southborough Genealogy Club hosts Virginia Wright of TIARA (The Irish Ancestral Research Association) who will speak about the life insurance applications and other records held by the Massachusetts Catholic Order of Foresters, covering late 19th and early 20th century Massachusetts Irish, and some German members of the Foresters Society. The meeting takes place on the main floor of the library – it is free and open to the public – there’ll be a brief business meeting starting at 6:45 and then the speaker at 7:00 – bring a friend or cousin!
Susan – what a lovely photo – pray, tell – where is THAT? Your county Cork relations? So beautiful is this world -jc
No, the ancestral home wasn’t quite as picturesque. :) This was somewhere in County Clare, I think. We did quite a bit of exploring on the western side of Ireland, so it’s hard to remember precisely. Such a beautiful area.
