Southborough Boy Scout Jon Willis and his troop will hold a car wash at the Transfer Station on Saturday to raise funds for his Eagle Scout project to restore trails a Templeman Woods, a parcel of open space located off Cordaville Road just north of the Mass Pike.

Willis told the Conservation Commission last summer that he wants to clean up the trails and replace rotting footbridges in an effort to make the area more accessible to the public. The parcel is owned and managed by the Southborough Open Land Foundation.

The car wash will take place on Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Transfer Station. The rate is $5 or $10, depending on the size of the vehicle, and all proceeds will benefit Willis’ Eagle Scout project.

(Ed note: If this post sounds familiar, it’s with good reason. Willis originally planned to hold his car wash last October – and I posted about it then – but the fundraiser was rained out. Fortunately the weather on Saturday looks good for his second attempt.)
