I left a bag (very sturdy) out by the mailbox. The mail came, but the bag wasn’t picked up. Did the dates change?

I also left a bag out well before the mail delivery. I got my mail, but my bag of pantry items were not picked up. What’s up with that?

I asked my mail carrier about this a couple of years ago. Even though I got a flier about it in the mail, he told me he wasn’t aware of the pick up, and wasn’t sure how he would fit bags/boxes of donations in his truck.

I am so sorry your groceries were not picked up by the mail carrier. Mine also were not picked up, yet a neighbor on the same block with the same carrier DID have hers collected!
If you would still like to donate items, there are collection locations at each of the churches in town:
Pilgrim Church – Side entrance facing Town Hall
St. Mark’s Church – Vestibule of Parish House
St. Anne Church – Entrance to Parish House
St. Matthew’s Church – Rectory Garage
First Community Church – Rear side entrance
Donations can also be left at any time in our collection bin inside the door at Walgreen’s Pharmacy on Route 9.
Thank you to everyone who donated on Saturday or tried to donate!
The summer ahead will be especially important for spontaneous donations as the donations from the schools will be stopping. You may go on vacation, but our clients are still here and needing support.
Please don’t forget us over the summer months.
Marjorie Coldwell, Food Pantry Coordinator for Pilgrim Church
