Evelyn (Lange) Johnson, 94, a long time resident of Southborough, died on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Heritage of Framingham Assisted Living after a period of declining health.
She was the loving wife of the late Norman Johnson, who passed away in 2000.
Mrs. Johnson was born and raised in Michigan. In the 1930’s she and her sister Barbara followed her brother Bob to Southborough, where he had a job on the Johnson Farm. Evelyn fell in love and married Norman Johnson. In 1941 they built their home, on Johnson Road in Southborough and she was a devoted homemaker.
Mrs. Johnson was sadly pre-deceased by her children, Larry Johnson and Carol Cooper. She is survived by her son in law, Bruce Cooper of PA; daughter in law, Lynne Johnson of W. Brookfield; a sister, Barbara Minnucci and her husband Thomas of Marlborough; 5 grandchildren, Cathryn Moyski and Cynthia Cooper; Brandon Johnson, Emily Zieman and Natalie Johnson; 4 great grandchildren, Morgan and McKenna Moyski and Wren and Kai Worobey; a sister in law Evelyn McKie and her husband William of Natick.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 14, from 5 to 7 PM at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15, at 11 AM at the Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
