David Wai Chung Lai of Soutborough died Tuesday, July 31 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Lan Chan Lai; two daughters, Julie Szeto and her husband Alexander Szeto of Southborough and Cheryl Chi Lai Tsang and her husband Johnny Kwok Wing Tsang of Vancover, British Columbia, Canada; two sisters, Kwai Fong Lai and Kwai Loy Lai and six grandchildren. He was born in China, son of Koon Yiu Lai and Po Yuet Chan.
David was the supervisor of the former Ping’s Garden Restaurant in Worcester for over 20 years, before retiring.
Visitng Hours will be held Tuesday, August 7 from 5 to 8 PM in Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. Funeral Services will be private.
